A pilot should identify windshear as quickly as possible because it can be very dangerous during the final approach. If windshear is detected, the pilot should follow the windshear escape procedure.

Windshear on final is a very dangerous phenomenon due to unpredictable wind direction and velocity. Under this condition, typical movement of flight surfaces is unusable. Moreover, the aircraft has a very low altitude, so it is important to make the decision as quickly as possible – to go around or continue landing. There are more detailed instructions in the OM, FCOM, and FCTM. Also, these manuals include signals which help to identify windshear. The main signals of windshear are unpredictable wind direction and rapidly increased wind speed. In my opinion, the most correct action is a go-around escape maneuver. Fortunately, this phenomenon is not so long, and after the go-around, I will do circling and land successfully.
